The program includes French language class
each morning and cultural session each afternoon.
Morning French Class
• 20 French lessons (x 45’) per
week
• 8.45 AM to 12.00 PM
• Monday* to Friday
• Maximum 12 students per French class
• Required French level: beginner
Acquisition of essential French grammar
skills and competency in practical communication.
Work on oral and written expression and comprehension.
Use of varied tools: comic strips, newspaper articles, video...
Afternoon Cultural Class
• 23 lessons per week
• Monday to Saturday
• Minimum 4 participants per class
These workshops give you the opportunity to meet local peasants who are pleased to show you their products (honey, wine, olive oil, herbs or aromatic plants).
In addition to the workshops, cooking lessons are provided for learning how to prepare "Provencal specialties" step by step.
AFTERNOON CULTURAL COMPONENT (Riviera and Provence)
Week 1 :
Sunday : Arrival
Monday : Assessment tests
Tuesday : Honey tasting at a beekeeper's.
Wednesday : Cooking workshop : Anne Marie's delicious
jams Fruit of Provence.
Thursday : Free time
Friday : 4 pm Wine-appreciation workshop : (1) learning
how to identify and understand wine. (2) learning how to set up and manage
your own wine cellar.
Saturday : 8.30 am / 2.30 pm the art of cooking and entertaining,
Jeannine's recipes.
From the market to the plate : Cooking lessons + tasting of «French
specialties» (Starter + main course + cheese + dessert + wine and
coffee) choosing the right cheese and bottles of wine according to the
dish.
Week 2 :
Sunday : Free time
Monday : Olive harvest and olive oil tasting in an ancestral
Provencal oil crusher.
Tuesday : Botanical workshop. What are herbs and plants
of Provence for ?
Wednesday : Cooking workshop : Anne Marie's delicious
pies Tartes Tatin, Charlottes and clafoutis.
Thursday : Free time
Friday : Wine tasting in a prestigious château.
Saturday : Departure
